Miscellaneous & Oddities

Gorgeous ostrich leather with gold embossed design desk set. For the person in your life who has everything. Letter opener, stamp tray, both inkwells with glass inserts and tray are all intact. Minor, minor, minor wear to the leather on the back side. This is a terrific antique for anyone! A true one of a kind item for $795!

This inkwell was excavated in the early 1990's in Georgia by the owner of Arsenal of the Alleghenys. It has a roundball inside, that was obviously melted down and pushed inside, probably used to keep the ink from clotting. A very unusual piece, found with a metal detector. $275

A fine example of Casey's Infantry Tactics, Volume III, signed, Wm. Zahn's book, July 9 1864. There are notes and numbers written on the inside of both back and front covers. The photo here reads, If the line is open it is liable to be flanked. This is a terrific piece of history. $299

Carved horn snuff box shaped like a small bird.  Wing is on hinge which opens to reveal a snuff box.  The bird's eye is a small piece of mother-of-pearl.  The strand of horn-stringed beads measures about 22 inches long.  Very rare and unusual!  $349
