If garnets are a favorite stone, and Victorian is your favorite era, then we just found your favorite piece of historical jewelry. This exquisite necklace has cabachon cut garnets surrounded by rose cut bohemian garnets all the way around. The stones are set in vermeil (gold wash over sterling silver) and measures 18 inches long. There’s even a safety chain on the back to make sure this special piece of garnet jewelry isn’t lost. For the antique jewelry collector, this is a must have! Item #1026, $2,100.
For anyone who enjoys garnets, especially cabachon cut ones from the Victorian era, here’s your chance to own a special piece of antique jewelry. As you can see from the photos, the garnets are about the size of a quarter, oval shaped and enhanced by the gold filled chain with rose cut stones. Based on what I see on the back, I believe the oval garnets are set in vermeil and the remaining portion of the necklace was added or replaced at a later date (perhaps the original chain broke). The chain measures 20 inches long, plus the garnets add another three inches. This is a unique, one of a kind Victorian piece of jewelry. Item #1014, $1,295
