Colt began his production of the ’51 Navy back in 1850 and here’s a nice example of an 1851 model made in 1853 with serial number 20943, all matching. Officers of the Army and Navy were issued these firearms during the War Between the States. Ask for this one by serial number.

Allen Single Shot Pistol
Marked with Allen’s Patent 1845, here’s a nice example of a single shot antique firearm made by Allen & Wheelock and E. Allen & Co. ca. early 1860s. This one has an octagon shaped barrel. The ivory grips show sign of wear with a stress crack but also have a nice age-related patina. Ask for this one by name and date.

Colt Pocket Model, made in 1863
Colts were the favorite handgun of the Civil War and over 146,000 were purchased by the US government during the war. Colts were made in several models and many calibers, the most popular being the .44 caliber Army and the Navy .36. This one is serial number 23956, sometimes carried as a backup up pistol.
