Arsenal of the Alleghenys-Gettysburg’s Civil War Collectibles Shop

Arsenal of the Alleghenys is a Civil War memorabilia shop with investment quality military Americana. Located on Business 15 South (also known as Steinwehr Avenue), across from the cemetery in Gettysburg National Park, it is owned by one family, Jay and Melanie Thomas, who have more than 60 years of combined experience collecting Civil War era antiques, artifacts and American militaria.

Museum quality weapons are on display and for sale, including Springfields, Tower Enfields, Colts and Remingtons. View the largest privately owned displayed collection of Civil War sabers containing Ames, Roby, Emerson & Silver and Mansfield and Lamb cavalry and artillery swords. We only sell investment quality Civil War collectibles that we would be proud to own in our personal collection. Also available are cartridge boxes, canteens, tintypes, daguerrotypes, bayonets, medical items and other militaria.

We are the only Civil War relic shop in Gettysburg with authentic antique jewelry that the Civil War living historian or Victorian jewelry lover will appreciate. Diamonds, garnets, opals, gold, platinum, seed pearls, sapphires and rubies are typically found in our cases. Authentic Victorian wedding bands for both men and women are always arriving.

Our website is here to show you the quality of our merchandise and shows a sampling of the inventory. There’s a special item for all budgets. If you desire a unique, one-of-a kind civil war antique, call 717-334-1122 or send an email, arsenal-1@embarqmail.com.

We look forward to hearing from you!

Jay and Melanie Thomas
